Farewell Flash

As Dwyane Wade enjoys every game of his farewell tour its time to start talking about where Wade stands all time. There is no doubt about it that Wade is amongst the all time greats. Lets talk about some of the great things he has done in his career. Wade is a 3 time champion, winning the 2006 Finals MVP. In 2006 Wade not only willed the Heat through the playoffs but carrying the Miami Heat to the first finals win in franchise history. Through this 2006 playoffs Wade averaged 28.4 ppg shooting 50 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line. One of the greatest postseasons from an individual in NBA history. Wade and the Heat won back to back finals in 2012 and 2013 with the company of Lebron James and Chris Bosh. Wade throughout his career has averaged 22.3 ppg in the postseason. Wade has always been a guy who stepped up in big games as he is tenth all time in total postseason points. Wade is a 13 time NBA all-star averaging 22 ppg and 5.4 apg over his sixteen year career. These stats have been good enough to make Wade the all time leader in points assists and steals in Miami Heat history. Wade is 30th all time in scoring with 22,897 points and counting. Wade is 43rd all time in assists with 5,642 and counting. About a week ago Wade passed Michael Jordan for most blocks by a guard in NBA history by recording his 1,052 block. So where do all these accolades and statistics rang Wade among the best shooting guards of all time? Now before I wrote this article and did my research I had Wade in the bottom half of my top ten shooting guards of all time. After reading more and watching some highlights I have some more respect for Wade. Before I reveal my top ten shooting guards of all time I want to congratulate Dwyane Wade on an amazing career. Wade will be a first ballot hall of famer. He is a once in a generation type player. A class act on and off the court. The NBA will miss him greatly. That being said here are my top ten shooting guards of all time.
